India is the Second most populated country in the world and with all those diversity.

India has different kinds of facts and achievements which not only going to blow your mind but also you’re going to respect this nation even more.

In this article we are going to discuss some interesting facts about India. So I’ve basically divided this article into three main categories:

  • second will be religion
  • and third will be some unknown facts about India.

Most of India’s expenditure is focused on defense against his neighboring arch rival Pakistan and on the counter influence of China in Indian ocean as well as the northern border of India like Ladakh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.

Not only India is the world’s largest arms importer, India has the world’s second largest military with over 1.4 million equipped troops.

So India was and is one of the most powerful countries in the world and still India has never invaded any country in the last hundred thousand years of history.

So this is a fact that every Indian should be proud of. And not only this India has also produced the largest volunteer army in the history of the world when Indian troops fought under the British resume to fight against Germans during world war II.

Do you know the number of people traveling on India’s train each day is equal to the population of Australia with over 7 000 stations.?

Indian rail network is the largest in Asia carrying a whipping 23 million passengers daily in over 12 000 trends.

2. Religion:

So that was about the power of India but in this part we are going to discuss the religion diversity of India and some facts that will make every Indian proud.

Do you know nearly 80 percent of India’s population following Buddhism. Islam is the second most popular religion in India with over 14 percent followers then Christianity with 2.3 percent Sikhism with 1.7 percent Buddhism with 0.7 percent and Jainism with 0.4 percent.

And not only this, India has more number of mocks or Mazda than any other Islamic nation in the world. In that case we can say India is a very Secular Nation.

Varanasi is one of the oldest inhabited place on earth with over 5000 years of history and it is also one of the India’s holiest cities. According to Hindus mythology lord Shiva founded the city 5000 years ago.

We all know about the Golden Temple of Amritsar which feeds up to one lakh people every day for free regardless of the race religion or class.

The kubh mela which is held every 12 years is the world’s largest festival. The gathering is so huge that the crowd can be seen from the outer space and the images you can find it on Google.

3. Unknown Facts about India:

So guys that was some religious fact about India and its diversity. In the next segment we are going to discuss some interesting facts about India that you might not know:

Do you know India was the first country to consume sugar?

India was the first country to develop the extraction and purification technique of sugar.

India was the first country where the diamonds were mined too.

Initially diamonds were found only in the deposits in the Guntur and Krishna district of Krishna river delta; until the diamonds were discovered in Brazil during 18th century.

India led the world in diamond production and not only sugar and diamond; the sampling is an Indian concept.

Shampoo was initially invented in India; not the commercially liquid ones; by using the herbal techniques.

The word sample itself has been derived from the Sanskrit word “champo” which means to massage.

And not only this India is also known for its talent. The legendary singer of rock band queen Freddie Mercury was born with a party named Farook Bulsara and his father was also a Gujarati.

And not only Freddie Mercury the Oscar-winning Hollywood star Ben Kingsley was born Krishna Pandit Bhanji.

Talking about Oscars let’s discuss about Bollywood and providing India’s undying love for cinema. India sold 3.2 billion tickets in 2019.

And finally let’s talk about science.

Do you know India is the first country in the world to have succeeded in putting a profit Mars orbit in the very first attempt.?

This is hands down the most effective mars mission to have ever been undertaken.

The Mangalyaan mission cost only around 74 million and the interesting fact is that the Hollywood space adventure movie Gravity cost around 100 million to make.

Also NASA‘s budget is 22.629 billion & ISRO‘s budget is only 1.5 billion. Now imagine if we had this kind of money and opportunities then what could have been done.
